As the decade comes to a close, we at Docomomo US would like to thank you for your membership and support of our organization, and your ongoing resolve to keep vital architecture alive and help save threatened sites around the country.

In the last ten years, you have helped us save and celebrate great works like the Ambassador Grill & Lounge in New York City, the Houston Astrodome, and Peavey Plaza in Minneapolis.

Frustratingly, our work is never done.

Projects once in the "win" column like the Atlanta Public Library, listed in the State Register of Historic Places in 2018, was altered and defaced while under consideration for National Register listing, defying National Park Service statements that the changes would jeopardize the nomination. We lost the Portland Building to inappropriate alterations in 2019 and the stakes are just as high for projects like the Terrace Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati, the Boston Government Service Center and the James R. Thompson Center in Chicago.

This important work takes time and resources. If you have renewed your membership, participated in our Giving Tuesday efforts or given to our end of year appeal, THANK YOU.

If you have not given yet, please consider a gift of $50, $100, $250 or any amount you are able.

Warm wishes for the New Year,

Theo Prudon and Liz Waytkus
