Harshitha Beere grew up in Ashburn, Virginia, and moved to Bangalore, India, at 11. On one of her trips to Hampi, India, a UNESCO world heritage site, she fell in love with architecture and historic preservation. She went on to pursue a bachelor's in architecture, graduating with first-class distinction. Following her passion for historic preservation, she was accepted into the University of Florida's Historic Preservation program. In summer 2020, she interned for the NPS Region 1 office and wrote a Historic Structure Report for Catoctin Mountain Park Visitor Center, Thurmont, MD. Throughout the internship, Harshitha learned about Mission 66 Visitor Centers inspiring her master's thesis. In May 2021, Harshitha graduated with a Master's in Historic Preservation with a 4.0 CGPA. Harshitha is currently seeking a job in historic preservation and architecture to apply her digital documentation, GIS, AutoCAD, Revit, and ReCAP Pro skills. In the past Harshitha has worked as an architectural intern for Conceptual Ideas, Bangalore, India, and the National Park Service Region 1, Washington DC as a historic architectural intern. She has also worked as a graduate assistant for UF's Envision Heritage program and Keeping Heritage Above Water since January 2020.

Alejandro Saldaña Perales is a PhD student and a Vinci Scholar at the Illinois Institute of Technology's College of Architecture. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in his hometown of Monterrey, Mexico. After moving to Chicago in 2017, Alejandro earned his Master of Science in Architecture at IIT with his thesis titled "The Latin American Export: Implementing Latin American urban strategies to redevelop and reconstruct Bronzeville." Saldaña Perales currently works as the IIT Architecture PhD Administrative Assistant and continues his research performing historical analysis of parks in post-war Chicago’s Near South Side Planned Developments. He has collaborated on several publications in his native Mexico, published his research at the Mexican Pavilion for the 2016 Venice Biennale of Architecture, volunteered at the Chicago Architecture Center, worked as Coordinator at the Mies van der Rohe Society, as Intern at the Chicago Department of Planning and Development, and is a student member of the Society of Architectural Historians.

Asiye Yukselen is a fifth-year BArch candidate at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she is specializing in Architectural History and Theory. Her long-lasting interest in historic places comes from living in Istanbul, Turkey, prior to moving to the US. With her ability to bring a diverse approach to historic preservation in the States, she has been selected as a "Diversity Scholar" in the recent PastForward National Preservation Conference by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She views historic preservation and adaptive reuse as acts of sustainability and wants to explore them thoroughly in her future career and Master's degree that she plans to pursue. Since moving to Chicago, she has been investigating the city through the lens of modern architecture and its conservation and attending events of the Docomomo US/Chicago chapter.
