Join Cincinnati Form Follows Function for this tour of the Mater Dei Chapel is a two-story, mid-century collegiate chapel. Led by a Sister of Charity, Augusta Zimmer in 1958, the interior was entirely designed by women with many beautiful pieces of mid-century liturgical art. Recently added to the National Register of Historic Places.

This tour is organized by Cincinnati Form Follows Function (cf3) is a non-profit organization focusing on modern design in and around the greater Cincinnati area. Founded in 2004, our mission is to explore, uncover, educate, promote, preserve, appreciate and document modern architecture and design. Cincinnati’s rich architectural and design history includes the modern design period from the 1930s through 1970s. Modernism’s recent renaissance has led diverse groups including students, professionals, enthusiasts and homeowners to seek resources for more information. As a non-profit group, cf3 functions as a forum uniting these modernist minds to experience and preserve modern Cincinnati.
