Rosa Lowinger is a Cuban-born American art conservator and founder of RLA Conservation of Art + Architecture, LLC, a sculpture and architectural materials conservation practice based in Miami and Los Angeles. She is also a published author, most well-known for Tropicana Nights: The Life and Times of the Legendary Cuban Nightclub (Harcourt, 2005), a book on Havana’s pre-Castro nightclub era; Promising Paradise: Cuban Allure American Seduction (FIU press: 2016); and Dwell Time: A Memoir of Art, Exile, and Repair (Row House, 2023). A Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation, the Association for Preservation Technology, and the American Academy in Rome, Rosa holds an M.A. in Art History and Conservation from NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts.

For more than thirty years, the conservators of Studio TKM Associates have provided conservation services for institutions that lack conservation facilities of their own or that seek additional specialization, including museums, libraries, archives, historical societies, private and public agencies in North America, Europe and Asia, as well as galleries and individuals. We specialize in the conservation of fine art (old and modern master drawings, paintings and graphics), decorative and historic works (architectural drawings and prints, maps and globes, historic wallpaper and murals, documents, artifacts, ephemera and parchment), and Asian paintings and prints on paper and silk.

w.Erk studio is based in Lincoln, Massachusetts, drawing upon experience working on projects ranging in scale from furniture to skyscrapers. The work of the studio is rooted in connection to place and work across Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Urban, and Landscape design. We work collaboratively with art and artists and offer art advisory services that include helping to select, coordinate, and appropriately present artworks of all sizes and scales, including painting, sculpture, and bespoke installations.
