Join the Schweikher House Preservation Trust for a special event of live storytelling as we celebrate the Docomomo US Tour Day theme of Recreation & Play.
Did you know the Schweikher House property was once home to a volleyball court where workday breaks included a little friendly competition - a reminder that spaces for play can be found in unexpected places. Inspired by that spirit, our collaborative friends at Story Sessions will share true stories sparked by recreational spaces and structures, sculptural gardens, plazas, parks, educational campuses and other places where people gather, wander, compete, rest, and connect. Expect stories about moments of joy, discovery, mischief, nostalgia, and community.
Experience this rare event of storytelling on Saturday, October 10th in the intimate setting of the historic Schweikher House, led by Managing Director and Historian Dan Fitzpatrick.
