Modern sites continue to be threatened across the country. One way you can help to document and conserve the modern places you love is by starting a local chapter of Docomomo US. Starting a chapter is no easy task, but this presentation will give you the tools to get started.

Docomomo US Executive Director Liz Waytkus and Board President-Elect Bob Meckfessel will review the basic steps to starting a chapter. Then hear from two of our chapter leaders, Hannah Simonson, President of Docomomo US/Northern California, and Alison Chiu, co-founder and current board member of Docomomo US/Hawaii on the challenges and opportunities in running an engaged, successful, and fun chapter.

If you are not sure if there is already a Docomomo US chapter in your area, check our list of regional chapters HERE

This presentation is free and open to the public, but we will let you in on one of the six steps now: you need 10 members to become a chapter! If you aren't already a member, we encourage you to join today.
