A general interest meeting will be held on August 13th for anyone interested in helping to form a Docomomo US/Colorado chapter.
Founded in the United States in 1995, Docomomo US is a non-profit organization led by a national Board of Directors and staff that represents a union of regional chapters that share its members’ knowledge of and enthusiasm for modern architecture and design.
Our mission is to preserve modern architecture, landscape and design. Through advocacy, education and documentation, we provide leadership and knowledge by demonstrating the importance of modern design principles including the social context, technical merits, aesthetics and settings of these important pieces of American history.
If you are interested in helping to preserve the modern heritage of Colorado - places like SOM's U.S. Air Force Academy and Gio Ponti's Denver Art Museum - join us on August 13th at 6 pm at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) College of Architecture and Planning building (1250 14th St, Denver, CO) in Room 320A.
