The James Rose Center is the home modernist landscape architect James Rose designed for himself, his mother, and his sister in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
The home and studio now operates as a house musem, with a creative model that includes renting portions of the house to provide a source of income for the orgnizaiton. The organization is currently seeking a tenant (or a couple) for its North Studio. This is a unique opportunity for the right person who would appreciate the historic nature of the site. A small allowance in rent could possibly be made in exchange for on-site help from a qualified person.
Interested parties should contact the Center's director, Dean Cardasis, at cardasis@sebs.rutgers.edu.
If you aren't in the rental market, don't worry, you can still visit - they open for the season on May 15!
