Step inside historic midcentury modern homes and see and learn about many more as we tour one of Greater Boston's quintessential neighborhoods of 1950s style.
The Peacock Farm neighborhood of Lexington was developed by architects W. Danforth Compton and Walter S. Pierce. Their project brought together all the elements of the new wave of progressive, large-scale residential design, including the contemporary design of the homes and the landscapes and the planning of the neighborhood as a whole. Peacock Farm is one of a relatively few districts of its kind recognized for its architectural and historical significance on the National Register of Historic Places.
