Morning sessions and registration begin in the morning at the East-West Center. The day will begin with an Oli, a native Hawaiian chant, and lectures will cover Hawaiian Modernism and Asian-American Architects in Post-War Hawaii. For lunch, guests will enjoy a self-guided walking tour from the East-West campus to the University of Hawaii Manoa campus. Afternoon bus and walking tours complete the day. An optional architectural cocktail crawl will take place in the evening.

 

Getting there:

The name of the building is the Jefferson Hall East West Imin Conference Center, located 1777 East-West Rd – be sure to use the correct building name.

Parking directly at Jefferson Hall is very limited and is reserved for those needing special accommodations. Otherwise, there is guest parking available throughout the campus. A visitor parking map is available HERE.

IMPORTANT: For those who plan to park on campus at UH Manoa, it is highly recommended that you arrive by 8:00 AM. School is in session and the parking lots fill up by 9:00 AM.
