2025 Tour Day brings Docomomo US/NoCa to the East Bay where we'll be doing a walking tour of five houses of worship just south of the UC Berkeley campus.
We'll see places of worship that span the 20th century: St Johns Presbyterian by Julia Morgan, First Church of Christ Scientist by Bernard Maybeck, Newman Hall by Mario Ciampi, St Joseph of Arimethea by Joseph Dutcher, and St Johns Presbyterian by Ottswald and Kelly. Along the way we'll see the YMCA building by Joseph Esherick, and as a bonus, we will tour the Graduate Theological Union Library by Louis Kahn, just a short drive to the other side of campus.
