The Bundy Modern is a 1960s modern architectural gem surrounded by sculptures on a rural Vermont plateau. Designed by Harlow Carpenter (Harvard GSD '56), this glass and brick structure delights and surprises visitors as much today as it did when it first opened in 1962.

When you visit for Tour Day this year, enjoy the architecture alongside the current exhibition, Now You See Me: Suzy Spence, Nikko Sedgwick, and Carl D’alvia. Strength, beauty, vulnerability, hope…we find ourselves when we are in the presence of figurative art. Now You See Me casts its characters in every aspect of the human experience, from the expectation of birth to mourning. Suzy Spence delves into the intricacies of athleticism, risk-taking, and the interplay between nature, strength and fragility. Nikko Sedgwick, a mixed media painter, uses family snapshots to tell a more hidden story. Carl D’Alvia’s bronze sculptures finds abstract questions in familiar shapes. Now You See Me asks the mind to discover the space between what is seen and what may be forever hidden from view.
