| Self-guided driving tour in Minneapolis and the western Metro with open houses at each venue interpreted by docents and home owners. Tour routes will be selected to represent the evolution of Minnesota Modernism from the 1930s through the 1970s and examples from each decade will be included. Attendees will gather at one of the homes at the end of the day for a social hour with refreshments. Buildings on the tour may include those by: Lisle Close, Frank Lloyd Wright, James Stageberg, Ralph Rapson, Carl Graffunder, Marcel Breuer, Lloyd Wright, Philip Johnson and William Lescaze. More specific information will be posted closer to the date. | |
