The Burlington Free Press recently confirmed Burlington's Immaculate Conception designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes with landscapes by Dan Kiley is set to be sold due to the increasing decline of parishioners. According to The Cultural Landscape Foundation, the church and the surrounding landscapes may face an increased threat of demolition because of its proximity to the upcoming CityPlace Burlington redevelopment project - one of the most expensive redevelopment projects in Vermont. However, the building and landscape can still be saved, and Preservation Burlington, a local non-profit, is leading efforts to protect the site.

Stay tuned as more updates unfold.
