Tour of Jesse H. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts and Tranquillity Park

Image details

Join Houston Mod for an afternoon tour of two architecturally and culturally significate
public spaces in downtown Houston.

Jesse H. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts designed by Caudill Rowlett Scott, 1966.
This performance venue, home to the Houston Symphony Orchestra, has been
nominated as a City of Houston Protected Landmark.

Tranquillity Park designed by Charles Tapley Associates, 1979. This City of Houston
Park was built to commemorate the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. Unfortunately, the original design integrity of both of these spaces is threatened as both
are currently slated for radical renovation.
