Following the 2018 National Symposium, Design, Community, and Progressive Preservation, which was co-hosted by Docomomo US, Exhibit Columbus invites you to its Exhibition Opening Weekend on August 23 and 24.
Opening Weekend celebrates the start of Exhibit Columbus’ second exhibition, Good Design and the Community, which will feature 18 temporary architectural installations and projects by artists and graphic designers, and run through December 1.
To kick off Opening Weekend, our Exhibition Conversations will bring together the esteemed group of exhibition participants to discuss their installations in the context of the unique design legacy of Columbus. Opening Weekend is also a celebration of the entire Columbus community that, for over 75 years, has invested in their belief in the power that art, architecture, and design has to improve peoples’ lives and making cities better places to live. While the Exhibition Conversations are free and open to the public, the Opening Party is a ticketed event.
