The MidTexMod chapter of docomomo is is proud to host a tour of three Milton Ryan properties in the San Antonio region as part of docomomo Tour Day 2014. Ryan, born in Rockdale, Texas in 1904, was an architect who started his career designing colonial revival tract houses, before turning to modernism in the 1950's. As his work has often been overshadowed by that of his San Antonio contemporary, O'Neil Ford, MidTexMod is taking this opportunity to highlight some of Ryan's residential and institutional work.

The Tour Day event will commence with a lecture on the works of Milton Ryan by Stephen Fox, architectural historian and fellow of the Anchorage Foundation of Texas.
