Preservation Texas Presents a Lecture by Stephen Fox on November 16th in Beaumont, Texas.
The cities of Texas’ Golden Triangle possess a rich but under-appreciated legacy of twentieth-century architecture. In this talk, Stephen Fox will survey outstanding works of architecture ranging from buildings constructed in the wake of the Spindletop oil discovery to highlights of mid-twentieth-century design by Beaumont's, Port Arthur's, and Orange’s foremost modern architects.
Stephen Fox is an architectural historian and a Fellow of the Anchorage Foundation of Texas. He is a lecturer in architecture at Rice University and the University of Houston.
