Please join Preservation Houston, Houston Mod, Architecture Center Houston, Brazos Bookstore, Transwestern and the Houston Chronicle as we welcome celebrated architecture critic and professor Mark Lamster to Houston for a one-of-a-kind event.
Inside the soaring lobby of Pennzoil Place, one of Philip Johnson’s most iconic buildings, Lamster will present “The Man in the Glass House,” his riveting new biography of Johnson, one of the twentieth century’s most influential and most controversial architects, whose work can be seen throughout Houston, from the campus of the University of St. Thomas to the Menil House to the Bank of American Center.
The evening will begin with a wine reception and a book sale and signing will follow.
