Visit a variety of Privately Owned Public Spaces in Midtown Manhattan—both exterior and interior, some famous and others less familiar, dating from the 1950s to the present.
Learn how some of these were voluntarily created, inspiring revisions to the NYC Zoning Resolution which encouraged the creation of more such spaces—ultimately leading to further revisions intended to generate other types of public spaces.
