Programs

Houston Mod holds events such as lectures, exhibitions, workshops, film screenings, and tours. Four publications have been produced about modern architecture and architects from the Houston region. A website informs of current events and issues while also archives the works of many important modern structures both demolished and still with us in the area.

Houston Mod created and continues the award winning Mod of the Month program to spotlight buildings in need of new preservation minded owners. The group also helped establish Houston Modern Market which recently completed its second annual show. In April 2012, Modern Month, also established by Houston Mod, will be celebrated for a third year to bring more focus to the cause and now at a state wide level. The Houston Mod Preservation Award, now in it`s third year, honors good works of modern preservation.
