Hosts at each location will share the architectural heritage, lore, and aesthetic significance of the sites.

The tour will feature an exclusive showing of the David and Gladys Wright residence, a home that Frank Lloyd Wright designed for his son and which foreshadowed his design of the Guggenheim Museum.

There will be plenty of time for photography. Tucson Modernism Week
The Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation is proud to present Tucson Modernism Week 2013: October 4, 5 & 6. The three day extravaganza is a series programs, film, lectures and events highlighting and celebrating Tucson’s Mid-century Modern design and architecture. The programing emphasizes the Modernist Buildings of Broadway Boulevard between Country Club and Campbell Avenue. Tucson’s modernism captured the exuberance of the post WWII era, and is defined by clean, simple lines and a casual informality. In the southern Arizona desert the movement has come to be defined as Sonoran Modern with the use of regional materials, adaptation to the desert climate and an emphasis on indoor/out door living.
