THEODORE H. M. PRUDON, PhD, FAIA, is a leading expert on the preservation of modern architecture.  Prudon was trained as an architect and architectural engineer both in the United States (MSArch and PhD from Columbia University) and The Netherlands (MSArchEng from the University of Delft) and holds professional licenses in eight states as well as in The Netherlands. He is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects and has practiced architecture in New York City for over 30 years. He is a partner of Prudon & Partners, a New York City-based architectural firm specializing in restoration, and teaches preservation at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.  Prudon is the President of DOCOMOMO US and a member of the DOCOMOMO International Board.  DOCOMOMO is dedicated to the study and preservation of significant works of modern architecture, landscape design, and urban planning around the world.
