Obituary: Dorothy Miner, 1936 - 2008

DOCOMOMO US is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dorothy  Miner on October 21, 2008.

Dorothy served as the counsel for the Landmarks Preservation Commission for two decades and played a critical role in the 1978 Penn Central case. After retiring from the Commission in 1994 she taught at Columbia ’s Historic Preservation program, Pace University School of Law, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where her dedication to her students was inspiring.

She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
