Houston Mod, a friend organization of Docomomo US, is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to promoting knowledge and appreciation of modern architecture and design in Houston and Texas. Houston Mod advocates the preservation of this cultural legacy and seeks support from its members and the general public in achieving this goal.

Houston Mod announces the following additions to its Board:

Luis de las Cuevas

Luis works in the oil and gas industry. He is painter, and a collector of
mid-century modern furniture and artifacts. He has recently completed construction of a house in Houston's East End with his architect/ author husband, Houston Mod Master Mod Ben Koush, AIA.

Bayardo Selva, AIA, LEED AP

Bayardo is a practicing architect with 19 years of experience in the profession. He is a collector of mid-century modern furniture and artifacts. He has recently completed the renovation of his mid-century modern house, which flooded in 2017 during Hurricane Harvey.

Michael Valenzuela, AIA, LEED AP

Michael is a practicing architect with 15 years of experience in the profession. He is a collector of mid-century modern furniture and artifacts, and owns a mid-century modern house.
