Docomomo US NTX, Preservation Dallas, and the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League invite you to join us for a walking tour of early modern architecture in Oak Cliff, focusing on Jefferson Boulevard. Often overlooked and under-appreciated, the mid-century heritage of Oak Cliff is significant, surprising, and extensive. And, alas, it is increasingly endangered as Oak Cliff revitalizes and redevelops.

Our tour guides will walk up past a number of building of note, some in great shape, some needing much TLC, and some you've probably never noticed before. We'll learn about their history and about those that built Oak Cliff in the 1950s and 1960s.

After the tour, we'll take a rest and re-charge (Dutch Treat) at the architecturally delightful El Ranchito Restaurant, designed by Charles Dilbeck (though not moder, it's still tres cool).

The tour is free but space is limited and reservations are required, so email us at docomomo.us.ntx(AT)gmail.com to register. We'll send you details on where to meet and park.
