Please Note: The date of the tour has changed to November 3rd.

Join us in Fort Worth from 10-noon (with optional lunch following) for a guided tour of three significant public spaces that (originally) combined landscape and water. Each provides its own response to the environment, be it meditative or interactive while providing compelling examples of the success and failures of public spaces in urban settings.

Shuttered since 2007, guests will have an exclusive opportunity to tour Heritage Plaza and hear from the team managing its restoration. A morning not to be missed!

10am Heritage Plaza (1976, Lawrence Halprin)
10:45am Burnett Park (1984/2010, Peter Walker)
11:15am Water Gardens (1974, Philip Johnson)

Tickets are free for Docomomo members (memberships start at just $75 at docomomo-us.org) and $10 for the general public. RSVP to docomomo.us.ntx@gmail.com.

Tour guides include: R. Gannon Gries, AIA, of Bennett Benner Partners; Robert L. Meckfessel, FAIA, LEED AP BD+C, of DSGN Associates, Inc.; and Gregory S. Ibañez, FAIA, of Ibañez Shaw Architecture, LLC.
