Join us for a symposium on the challenges of preserving the recent past. This 1-Day event includes a walking tour of the Sailboat Bend Historic District featuring the work of Bill Bigoney and other prominent local architects. A cruise up the Intracoastal Waterway to Fort Lauderdale Beach will highlight the development threat to the area's noted mid century modern architecture while celebrating preservation success stories. Preservationists Diane and Bill Smart of the Broward Trust for Historic Preservation will conduct a guided walking tour of Birch Estates.
