|Time||Tour the Neils House by Frank Lloyd Wright
We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with the Minnesota Historical Society to present a rare opportunity to walk through the Neils House, a unique Frank Lloyd Wright usonian home located in Minneapolis.
A bit of history on the house: Mr. Neils spent more than a year working to secure an appointment with Frank Lloyd Wright to design his Minneapolis home. After Neils sent Wright a set of photographs of his lot and its view of Cedar Lake, Wright agreed to meet the family. The house incorporates scrap marble, larch, and aluminum window frames, all unusual materials for Wright. It also features innovative mechanical systems and heating.
Join us for refreshments and an informal lecture about Wright and features of the Neils house by architectural historian and author Jane King Hession, followed by self-guided tours of the home.
Tickets for the tour are very limited. Tickets are available as a first come, first serve basis and may be purchased online at Minnesota Historical Center's website or you may call their box office at 651-259-3015.
